What do you need to know before you put metrological equipment into use in the Customs Union?
When setting up metrological instruments in the Customs Union it is compulsory to declare documents such as:
– The type-approval certificate for each individual gauge,
– Certificate of initial verification
– Calibration confirmation.
Gauge – control, measuring and testing equipment to determine the value of the measured quantity. It can be etalon, determined working gauge, not specified working gauge or a reference material.
Calibration is a set of tasks které dávají za určených podmínek závislost mezi hodnotami indikovanými měřicím prostředkem nebo měřicím systémem, nebo hodnotami reprezentovanými mírami nebo referenčním materiálem a mezi příslušnými hodnotami veličiny realizovanými referenčním etalonem.
Confirmation of calibration (Calibration list) – a document indicating the result of the calibration.
Authentication is a set of tasks, that confirms the determined gauge has metrological properties and it corresponds to the provisions of legal regulations, technical standards and other technical regulations.
Verification certificate shall be issued by metrological authority. It contains information of gauge verification. The gauge can also be marked with official mark.
A verification certificate can only be issued by ČMI or AMS.
Certificate of verification – a document, declaring result of a gauge verification. It confirms that the certain gauge has its required metrological properties. It features requirements and instructions, that subjects to a verification conditions, follow-up to a national standards and a validity period of the verification.
